GIVING HAIR TO GIVE HOPE
HOWELL, NJ—On the evening of January 8th, Aurelio Salon came together with the co-founder of Emme Worx, Jenny Minerva, along with Seth Arndt from Prudential Financial and hosted “Hair For Hope,” an event to help benefit Locks of Love.
Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization, works to provide hairpieces to disadvantaged youth in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
Upward of thirty people came together at the Aurelio Salon Howell location in order to support the cause. Ten inches of locks are necessary to donate to the organization; nine fearless supporters were able to donate the requested ten inches of hair, a handful of which were as young as seven. One donor was able to contribute a lengthy fifteen inches! After participants received their new “do’s,” a step and repeat was provided where they had the opportunity to strut their stuff and have some fun while photographer, Mario Marcal da Cuhna, snapped a few photos. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres were served at the event as well.
A big thank you goes out to those who donated their beautiful long tresses and to all those who showed support. All proceeds generated that evening were donated to the organization Locks of Love.
